Week Five: January 27th – February 2nd 2014
About this week: I was having a frustrating week. Did a Library run and I didn’t feel well and took a sick day, which is rare for me. Later in the week we went to a lil taco joint in this old neighborhood and I did some exploring in The Cleveland Metroparks and Huntington Beach photographing the frozen shores of Lake Erie.
Cameras, printers & software used: Canon 7D, 24-70mmL lens, iPhone 5 camera, Timercam, Pic Tap Go app, Photoshop CS5, Epson Photo Stylus 1400 printer on Epson paper.
Memorabilia Used: menu
Other Products Used: Studio Calico Wood Arrows and hearts
I got a little lazy with the header card not noting what number week it was. I love the currently obsessed card from the teen girl themed cards. It fit perfectly with my new current obsessed: True Blood. (just.cant.stop.) I got through a couple of the novels but then started to watch and got hooked. I’m a sucker for a cheesy vampire show.
I used my Timercam app to document myself in the woods over the weekend since I was solo and wanted to be in at least one of the photos. I propped my phone up on a pole and used the snow on top to hold the phone upright.. The snow was so incredibly beautiful the way it stuck on all the trees. I used the menu from a restaurant we went to as a card and space filler. Chloe enjoyed her toy football some company mailed us in perfect time for the Superbowl (which I assure you I have zerrrroooo interest in)
I love the simplicity of this shot. I split an image into two 4×6 inch images and wrote on the horizon line of the lake. It’s so peaceful when it’s like this. It almost makes this horribly long winter bearable.
